課程概述

本課程「農業與環境」主要係從鏈結之角度討論農業與環境間複雜之關聯與互動。本課程主要分成兩大部分:(1) 基礎與理論,探討農業活動與五種不可或缺環境元素間之關係,包括水、土壤、土地、能源及生物;(2) 實務與應用,介紹各種永續農業與相關新興議題,包括循環農業、智慧科技及農業災害管理與韌性等。
The course, "Agriculture and the Environment", will be aimed at undergraduates and focus on discussing the complex links and interactions between agriculture and the environment from a nexus approach. This course includes two parts: (1) principles and theories regarding the role of five essential environmental elements, including water, soil, land, energy and biosphere, in agriculture, and (2) applications and practices of sustainable agriculture and other emerging important issues, such as circular agriculture, smart technologies and agricultural disaster management and resilience.

課程目標
本課程主要係介紹在農業與環境間各種層面之最新現況與分析。藉由本課程使得修課學生瞭解不同農業行為對於糧食安全、環境保護與資源永續使用之角色,及瞭解農業行為可能造成之環境議題與其可行之解決方案。
The objectives of this course are (1) to introduce state-of-the-art synthesis and critical analysis in different areas between agriculture and the environment nexus, (2) to understand the role of different agricultural practices in food security, environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources, and (3) to understand the critical environmental issues from agricultural activities and their potential technical solutions.
